Originally, Shi had an enviable job as a senior executive in the marketing department of a state-owned enterprise. Ten years of work experience made her proficient in market business with superb execution and keen market insight. In 2016, she resolutely chose to study EMBA in Tianjin University where she was exposed to deep theoretical knowledge and felt the vigor of entrepreneurs from her classmates, then the idea of entrepreneurship gradually emerged in her mind. Shi’s hometown is located in Fengyu Town, Yunnan Province, so she is determined to share the tea culture in her hometown with more people, and finally successfully created her brand.

Shi has been away from home for nearly 20 years, but she cares for the children in her hometown all the time. Under the auspices of Shi, teachers, students, and alumni of CoME have gone to Fengyu Town, Yunnan Province to support teaching for six years. With the help of alumni, many students of CoME gave up their summer vacation and recreation to devote themselves to the volunteer teaching. They brought knowledge to the children that cannot be learned locally, such as art, music, calligraphy, and dance, which brought the children to the colorful world outside, inspired their longing for the future, and their desire for academics. The alumni also sponsored the children to visit Tianjin University on the spot. For the first time in life, these children walked out of the mountains, visited China's first modern university, and they were shocked by the experience. They are adhering to the yearning for institutions of higher learning and learning to persist no matter how hard life is.
