Being guest at Beiyang Lecture Hall-Prof. Jiang Weixin stressed on being sure to strengthen the comprehensive qualities cultivations of youthful students

　　In the afternoon of December 10th, the former minister of Housing and Urban-rural Development Ministry of the State, Prof. Jiang Weixin attended Beiyang Lecture Hall as a guest to have a frank discussion with over 200 teachers and students about being sure to the importance of strengthening the comprehensive qualities cultivations of undergraduates.

　　The president of Tianjin University Prof. Li Jiajun met with Prof. Jiang Weixin to appreciate him about finding time in the midst of pressing affairs and attending Beiyang Lecture Hall for teaching the importance of qualities cultivations to many teachers and students. The Party secretary Li Lianzhong, deputy Party secretary of university Li Yidan and the head of Management and Economy Department Prof. Zhang Wei were presented during meeting. It is reported that, as the professor of Tianjin University, Jiang Weixin also takes on the works as the tutor of five students.

　　Working for several decades, Prof. Jiang Weixingoes through the many kinds of position experience and toughening from government and enterprises as an over-experienced man with seeing and reading many peoples. As the brilliant student of Beijing University, he not only has the personal experience of success from himself, but also has the valuable experiences about selecting, training and understanding the undergraduates from the perspective of a leader. Thus he has extremely profound understanding to what kinds of comprehensive qualities that undergraduates need and the importance of comprehensive qualities to the undergraduates in becoming a useful person.

　　At the beginning of lecture, Prof. Jiang Weixin pointed out in sincere words and earnest wishes that, “the testing to the comprehensive qualities of the undergraduates had been listed as the primary condition from employers”. It was known that the total university graduates of China in 2014 has reached 7.27 million; and such huge specific intelligentsia with accumulated undergraduates over years had become the important human resource element of realizing the grand development strategies of China.

　　Prof. Jiang Weixin believed that, the qualities covered congenital qualities and acquired qualities. The comprehensive qualities mainly referred to the comprehension of ideological quality, morality quality, psychological quality and physical quality. The acquired quality was even more important in cultivation. We always said that the chances were important, but chances always were acquired by prepared and qualified person with equal important morality and ability.

　　He also put forward with several opinions to the cultivation of comprehensive qualities based on the deep think through practices over several decades, namely that the scientific outlook on life should be cultivated consciously with make contributions to others at the time of pursuing the individual existence and development, which was most important at university days. The undergraduates should pay attention to the self-cultivations of good virtue including the decent and upright character with distinguishing right from wrong, the rigorous and practical attitude with strong sense of responsibility, and the honest and motivated mentality with critical thinking to overall situation. The undergraduates with comprehensive qualities should understand the thanksgiving and giving part of yourself away, and they should be cultivated for strong will, insistence to the correct belief and development of psychological enduring capacity. The undergraduates should be cultivated with several capacities at university, such as independent thinking, recognition to others during making friends, solidarity and cooperation, and language expression. They also should keep the desire and habit of learning. Prof. Jiang Weixin also suggested reading some philosophy books, especially the understanding to the Marxist philosophy and Mao Zedong Thought. In this way the students could understand the importance of matter-of-fact, the importance of looking at problems from historical, overall and dialectical aspect, as well as the importance of managing conflict by grasping the main points and the scientificity of paying attention to investigation and being brave in practice.

　　He linked theory with practice in whole lecture, especially discussing many occupational experiences, which was genuine and believable and the audiences were benefit from the lecture with greatly echoing in teachers and students. The interactions of questioning and answering happened again and again. The deputy Party secretary of university Li Yidan awarded Prof. Jiang Weixin with the series lecture marks of famous person at Beiyang Lecture Hall.

　　Prof. Jiang Weixin wished the students to devote to the practice of Chinese grand strategy target acquired in prepared attitude and qualities with scientific, overall and confident viewings to the great achievement of reform and development of China through practically strengthening the cultivation of comprehensive qualities.
