Thirty years in education of business administration being a booster for China’s reform and development in thirty years.

　　It is given that in 1978 China blew the horn to start the reform and opening, the administration education in China appeared concurrently has made significant and integral contribution for the rapid development of the economy. The academic forum, with the theme that “Thirty-Years Is the Time to Stand Your Own Feet and the Period We have Witnessed China”, was held on Sep 14, 2014 in CoME, TU. During the meeting, the said viewpoint about the contribution has been interpreted and proved by many famous management experts and successful businessmen.

　　Mr. Li Rongrong, the vice chancellor of China International Center for Economic and Technical Exchanges (CICETE) and the ex-chairman of State-Owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission (SASAC) of the Stat Council has delivered his speech in the meeting, pointing out that “The CoME is outstanding, as it does not only make gratifying performance in education and scholarship, but also cultivates a number of talents for our societies.” As the honorary dean of CoME and the alumnus of Tianjin University, he said that he entered TU in 1963. What the university impressed him most is the “AS IT IS.”He believed that the spirit of "AS IT IS" is still vital to today’s society, economic reform and administration discipline development, as saying that “To stick to the AS IT IS is very crucial. It might be hard, but it is a must to bite and hold on, because the AS IT IS brings success and the violation of it results in punishment. Thus, when we look to the future of world and the future of China, I think we have to bear in mind and persist to the AS IT IS. Only the AS IT IS will form the positive energy and the violation of it is surely the negative energy. If we abandon the AS IT IS, the damages and injuries generated can be colossal. No matter which position we take, we shall make our efforts to do things that better the society, rather than worsen the society.”

　　TU President Li Jiajun, in his speech, asked the students and faculty of CoME to face the challenge, grip the opportunity, continue and boost the honors and dreams of CoME, TU, in this new era when the world is interlinked and the globally economic and political pattern is varying. He appealed to make unstopped strive for the growth of administration level in China and even in World, offering efforts for the better tomorrow of human being, together with the partners in other universities or other professions in China and the rest of the world.

　　According to the dean of the college, Professor Zhang Wei, a known financial engineering specialist, TU unfurled its management research and education programs, exemplified by the system project and industrial management project, as earlier as in 1978 when China just started its reform and opening. Over the past 30 plus years, TU has done a lot of effective jobs and made a great deal of achievements, ranging from talent cultivation, academic research, business consultation, and policy proposal, especially in the fields of management science and engineering, business administration, public administration and other managerial disciplines. The CoME of TU is seen as an epitome of the grand development of administration science in China.

　　On the forum, TU held the engagement ceremony for the members of its International Advisory Committee for Administration and Economics Science. The TU President Li Jiajun solemnly extended the Employment Contract to 14 members, consisting of global political leaders, global business leaders, administration experts, economists, and other personages, The committee is established to provide the strategic guidance and examination to the long term development of the specialty of management and economics in TU, and to gather and integrating resources, while to bridge between CoME, TU and the academic domain and business field in the world.

　　During the forum, the deans or presidents from business colleges or schools, the industrial leaders, the alumni, and the graduates of TU have expressed their sincere views on talent cultivation, knowledge development, social service and other topics. Also, they made in-depth discussion on the trend, demand and model of global administration education. The communications, interactions and exchanges have been given in a wise and smart way.

　　As you may know, the CoME derives from the Management School of TU, one of four earliest management and economics schools founded after China’s reform and opening, with other three being the business schools in Qinghua University, Shanghai Jiaotong University and Wuhan University. In past 30 plus years, CoME has fostered more than 50 thousands of students graduated in the major of management or economics. The great contribution has been made to the development and movement of economy of China.
