Promote the Founding Original Intention of TJU, Students of CoME Funded Children Left Behind during the 120th Anniversary

　　Faculty and students of CoME promote the founding original intention of TJU, “Revitalization of academic, prosperity of nation and rejuvenation of China”, who fund children left behind during the 120th anniversary. During this celebration, 2011 Tianjin University EMBA alumnus Tong Yuanming invested 2 million RMB to established the Yuan Ming Sunshine Education Fund at Tianjin University Peiyang Education Development Foundation under the name of education for children left behind in poor areas, "Love House" was built in supporting teachers and students of CoME to carry out charitable activities and rewarding outstanding college students who are in economic difficulties. On the eve of anniversary, faculty and students of CoME visited the hometown of the old President of TJU, Ma Yinchu, where was located in remote mountains of Shengzhou, Zhejiang, sent urgently needed, warm "Chicken Soup" to the children left behind, with PC, IPAD, TV and other equipment to establish a "Tianma care" Love House, in order to facilitate children to learn knowledge and communicate with their relatives.

　　Though it’s the hometown of sage, but it is remote to be reached and least path to access, these cause for regret. At Xiawang Town, the town party secretary, Miao Gongming introduced that about seventy percent of young people in this town are migrant workers, but the children was not taken out with their parents but stayed at home and live with the elders. Yu Feifei, a junior middle school student, her parents are working in Shaoxing City, although it was not far away, but the number of times she can meet with parents in one year can be counted by one hand, so she felt that she is lack of love. Principal of Xiawang Town Middle School, Fu Anzhang said that apart from teaching management tasks, teachers usually serves as surrogate parents, to shoulder the responsibility to promptly give psychological comfort to students.

　　Now, in the “Tianma Care” Love House, nearly half of children left behind in this school are enable to have face to face video with their parents, and they can obtain care from relatives through the "face to face communication without embrace"; meanwhile, located in the mountains of rural village, this primary school may "hand in hand" with metropolitan first-class elite schools via Internet, the teachers and students can enjoy high-quality curriculum and tutoring provided by excellent teachers of Tianjin University without leaving school. Tianjin University Psychological Counseling Center can take a long-term psychological counseling service to children. As a spokesman of the Yuan Ming sunshine Education Fund, singer Miss Han Yuxin, also specifically created the theme song of this activity, and taught online music lessons for the children left behind through Love House. The financial supporter of Love House, Tong Yuanming believes that in the current, in some rural areas and mountainous areas, parents have to work outside home, thus, for the children left behind, warmth is even scarcer than materials. Therefore, in his proposal, teachers and students of CoME took efforts, Tong Yuanming established fund to cooperate and make Love House take root in Xiawang Town central school. And in July of this year, the same team in the town of Fengyu, Dali City, Yunnan Province has copied out a “Fengyu Town Love House".

　　Deputy Secretary of CoME, Shi Liangxing said: "Since the establishment of Tianjin University 120 years ago, its mission is to revitalizing academic and prospering nation, this is not just at the campus of Tianjin University but in the entire country and in the blood of this nation. We should apply practical actions to develop and promote the students' sense of national identity, take practice to achieve the motto of Tianjin University "seeking truth from facts", make a tribute to the 120thanniversary celebration.”
