Brendan joined the Treasury Department in 2009, and previously worked as a Policy Advisor in Treasury’s Office of the U.S.-China Strategic and Economic Dialogue (S&ED). Prior to Treasury, he served in the Office of Secretary of Defense (2007-2009) and as a Legislative Aide in the Office of Senate Majority Leader William H. First (2004-2006). Brendan holds a BA in Social Studies from Harvard University and an MA in International Economics and China Studies from the Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS), Johns Hopkins University.
